Art Alive brings paintings to life on your phone: motion, sound, story and play, right on the real artwork, with no app to download.

It is made by the Blind Canvas Project and Able Art Alliance, which promote art, education and virtual reality experiences for people with visual impairments. The project was founded by artist and filmmaker Ben Fox.

Everything we build starts with access: paintings described aloud, a filter that shows how people with low vision see, tactile prints, and tools that work by ear and keyboard.
